Faraj Khan Pathan

Faraj Khan Pathan was born on March 14, 1999, in Plano, Texas. He was raised in a close-knit family in North Texas. Pathan's interest in computers and technology developed early. This interest was sparked in high school when he began building computers and assisting local non-profit organizations with their account security.

This early exposure to technology and security laid the foundation for his future career path. It instilled in him a passion for cybersecurity and a desire to help organizations protect their digital assets.

Pathan pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Systems at the University of Texas at Dallas. His coursework included a focus on key areas within the field, such as cybersecurity, identity governance, risk management, and cloud security.

During his time at the University of Texas at Dallas, he gained a strong academic foundation in information technology and cybersecurity. This education equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in his chosen career path.

Pathan is currently a Senior Associate in AI Security and Compliance at Alvarez & Marsal. He previously held positions at Deloitte as a Cybersecurity Consultant and Cyber Risk Analyst. Earlier in his career, he served as a Cyber Risk Intern at Deloitte and an IAM Intern at Active Cyber.

His experience includes integrating client identity systems with Okta SSO, Ping Federate, and Saviynt Identity Cloud. He has experience with documentation, requirements gathering, client workshops, cloud identity, stakeholder communication, and compliance operations. Pathan supports financial advisory cybersecurity clients, applying his skills in information security, identity governance, and agile methodologies.

In addition to his professional roles, Pathan has earned certifications as an Okta Certified Professional and Okta Certified Administrator. He also served as the Treasurer for Pi Kappa Phi fraternity from 2020 to 2022, overseeing finances totaling over $100,000 annually.
