Faraj Khan Pathan

Faraj Khan Pathan was born on March 14, 1999, in Plano, Texas. He was raised in a close-knit family in the North Texas region. Pathan's interest in technology began early, as he built computers in high school, which sparked his interest in cybersecurity.

This early exposure to computers and technology led him to assist local non-profit organizations with their account security, setting the stage for his future career.

Pathan pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Systems at the University of Texas at Dallas. His coursework included a focus on cybersecurity, identity governance, risk management, and cloud security. These studies provided him with a strong foundation for his career in cybersecurity and AI compliance.

Pathan's career in cybersecurity began with internships before progressing to consulting roles. He gained experience as a Cyber Risk Intern at Deloitte, followed by an IAM Intern position at Active Cyber from June to November 2021. These internships provided him with practical experience in the field.

Pathan then joined Deloitte as a Cyber Risk Analyst and later transitioned to a Cybersecurity Consultant role within the company's Cyber Identity practice of Risk and Financial Advisory. During his time at Deloitte, he focused on integrating client identity systems with platforms such as Okta SSO, Ping Federate, and Saviynt Identity Cloud.

As of January 2026, Pathan holds the position of Senior Associate, AI Security and Compliance at Alvarez & Marsal. His responsibilities include implementing identity governance systems and supporting financial advisory cybersecurity clients. Pathan's skills encompass information security, identity governance, Saviynt, Microsoft Azure, Open Banking, Microsoft Project, negotiation, and agile methodologies.
